TG54USB WLAN Adapter
Question: The data tranfers are very slow right from the start ? What is going on?
Answer: Full speed will only be available using a USB 2.0 port. Many „older“ PC Systems do only have USB 1.0 or USB 1.1.e Another problem could be poor receiption or disturbing factors like other metal or other wireless devices on the same frequency band.
Question: I do not get a connection between my 2 PC systems. What´s wrong?
Answer: Please check the settings of your system. A 2 PC connection is called „Ad-Hoc“, the SSID and channel setting need to be same value on both PCs and if encryption is enabled same key is a must. Please be aware that for ad-hoc mode you have to disable DHCP and enter fixed IP addresses.
Question: I am not able to connect the TG100 via WLAN to my Medion Notebook. What is the problem?
Answer: Before connecting to your Medion Notebooks you have to enable the WLAN in BIOS for it is disabled regarding security issues. Customer support number of Medion company is 01805 633 633 .

Answer: Many actual models have a switch on the side of the housing to de-/activate the intergrated WLAN card. Some examples are : Acer, ASUS. Sometimes ASUS also uses a Software (ASUS/HP) switch in the specific WLAN utility.
Question: I do only get 11 Mbit/s data rate though all my other WLAN network devices show 54Mbit/s. What can I do ?
Answer: If you are not using a USB 1.0 or USB 1.1 port you might have to use latest USB drivers for your motherboard. Please download these drivers from your board or system manufacturer.

Question: Where do I find latest driver or software ?
Answer: Drivers and Software can only be obtained via our download section. We do not send out replacement or new media with drivers neither does our service center.
Question: Where do I get linux drivers for the TG54 ?
Answer: Our product design does not include Linux driver nor software for linux OS. Therefore there is no support for questions/problems with Linux OS. The chip used for the WLAN part of the TG54 is standard chip used in many other products as well. Drivers are available from linux community.
